Vanderbilt held an “across campus” peer review similar to the Rice “Faculty Owl Days” program you mentioned. It was called the “Open Dores Teaching Visits” program: https://cft.vanderbilt.edu/2016/10/instructors-open-classroom-doors-for-two-days-of-teaching-visits-across-campus/ Seems like it was very well received there as well.

Thanks for mentioning Vanderbilt’s Across Campus events. I had thought I had seen another university, besides Rice, who had shared about their experiences online. Really appreciate the resource, as I would like to launch something like this at my institution.

Thanks William and Bonnie for touching on these initiatives. Many institutions run such programs, for example:
University of Calgary runs “Open Classroom Week” – see article here: https://www.ucalgary.ca/utoday/issue/2015-10-16/university-instructors-open-their-classrooms-observers
U of Toronto – Open Doors on Teaching: http://teaching.utoronto.ca/open-doors-on-teaching/
Ryerson University – http://www.ryerson.ca/lt/programs/opendoor/

Thanks for sharing about these other, similar initiatives, Isabeau. I hope I can influence my institution to give something like this a try in 2017. So much to be inspired by…

Hi again Bonni,
I will tweet this out but thought I’d also post as a resource on your site.
Together with UBC Studios, our teaching and learning centre has created some “just in time” training videos to help build capacity for peer reviewers and reviewees.
The videos can be found on the CTLT YouTube Channel at the “Formative Peer Review of Teaching” playlist: https://www.youtube.com/user/ctltresources/playlists
The specific videos are:

Thanks!
