Mia Zamora, Ph.D. (@miazamoraphd) is a Professor of English, and Director of the MA in Writing Studies program & the Writing Project at Kean University in Union, NJ, USA. Zamora is a a digital humanist, a #connectedlearning advocate, and a scholar of Electronic Literature. She has recently received the Kean University “Professor of the Year” Award.
Dr. Zamora’s commitment to equity, digital & data literacies, and intercultural understanding is clear in both her scholarship and leadership work. As a leading voice for the practice of open networked education and a winner of the Mozilla Foundation Open Leaders award, she has co-founded several global learning networks including Equity Unbound (#unboundeq) and Networked Narratives (#netnarr). In addition, she is proud to have recently co-launched Equity Unbound’s “Imagining a Socially Just Academia” project.
