I serve as Associate Director of Faculty Development and Applied Research with Learning Innovation and Lifetime Education at Duke University. I’m also Associate Director of the Center for Applied Research and Design in Transformative Education where I lead faculty collaborations, direct grant-funded research, and manage a multifaceted research agenda.
I earned my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining Duke, I was Program Leader and tenured Associate Professor of Learning, Design, and Technology at the University of Colorado Denver School of Education and Human Development. I began teaching 20 years ago as a public school teacher at Middle School 22 in the South Bronx.
