Christian works for Leuphana University Lüneburg, a public university close to Hamburg, Germany, where he encourages open teaching and learning practices among faculty and staff. As a founding member and former Head of Leuphana Digital School, Christian has co-developed and implemented connected learning formats for learners worldwide.
Over the last few years, his work focused more on openness, safety and inclusivity in education. Christian is the co-host of a German podcast on Open Education and a freelance consultant in online learning. He is a member of #TowardsOpenness, where he and many others aim to provoke conversations around open and connected learning, and of Virtually Connecting, a community that provides space for virtual participation and representation at conferences.
