Jane Hammons is the Head of Teaching and Learning in The Ohio State University Libraries. She leads a team of professionals to work collaboratively to develop, implement, and maintain a library-wide program, both online and in person, of teaching and learning services and initiatives to support the curricular, co-curricular, and academic activities of Ohio State University faculty, researchers, and students. Her research focuses on the intersections of information literacy and faculty development. Jane is the author of Teaching Information Literacy through Faculty Development and she has been published in journals including College & Research Libraries, the Journal of Academic Librarianship, portal: Libraries and the Academy, and the Journal of Faculty Development. She currently serves as co-editor in chief of Communications in Information Literacy. Jane was the recipient of the 2025 ALA Librarian Instruction Round Table Librarian Recognition Award.
