Robin is a professor at Plymouth State, a public university in New Hampshire, where she directs a lively Interdisciplinary Studies program for students who are customizing their own majors. She also works with faculty, staff, and administrators at colleges around the country to help nurture pedagogies that center students in the design of assignments, majors, and institutions. An activist in the Open Education movement, she is interested in how a commons-oriented approach to Higher Ed can inspire faculty, include more students, and strengthen the mission of colleges and universities in order to better serve the public good.
