Chris Friend welcomes people to new ways of thinking. He has been teaching writing classes since 2000, seeing (and trying) a variety of approaches to writing instruction. He believes testing disempowers students and makes them resent writing; he jumps at any opportunity to give students more control over their own learning and writing. As director of Hybrid Pedagogy, Chris works with authors and editors in a double-open, collaborative peer review process to bring out the best in writers and collaborators.
