VaNessa Thompson is a doctoral student in Educational Leadership at Oakland University (OU) in Rochester, Michigan. She is also working full-time as a CORE Program Coordinator at OU’s Center for Multicultural Initiatives. VaNessa also is an adjunct professor for Oakland Community College and adjunct instructor for the Engineering Society of Detroit.
Before OU, VaNessa graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. VaNessa later received her Master of Science in Technical and Professional Communication and a Writing for the Digital Age certificate from Lawrence Technological University (LTU).
When VaNessa is not interacting with students or taking classes, you could find her playing the latest video games, singing (or yelling) at the top of her lungs, dancing around (instead of walking), or spending time with her friends and family.
