Dr. Herring is the associate director and an associate professor in the School of Child and Family Sciences at The University of Southern Mississippi, where she has worked in various capacities for 22 years. She received her PhD from Louisiana State University in Human Ecology with an emphasis in Family, Child, and Consumer Sciences. Dr. Herring is an ACUE credentialed instructor and values student success as both a professional interest and a personal commitment. She is the mother of 4 children, 3 of whom were born during her PhD program, and resides in Columbia, MS.
